Snape scowled as he walked up the steps leading to the great doors of Gringotts. Goblins stood at its entrance. It seemed to Snape they were leering at him. Goblins always made him nervous. Snape viewed them as violent, nasty creatures.
As for Gringotts, Snape really didn't mind visiting Gringotts. He wanted to get some funds for his upcoming trip and he also wanted to store an antique potions book away in his vault.
So, Snape entered the bank, signed in, and followed the aging goblin through a side door. Snape boarded the cart and went to visit his vault.
When Snape's cart finally came to an unnerving halt, Snape climbed out only to witness a bit of a disturbance outside of the row of vaults.
"What's going on?" demanded Snape, glaring at the goblins. One of the vault doors, thankfully not Snape's, stood ajar. Goblins busily picked up parchment and other debris that surrounded its entrance. The goblins continued working without answering.
Snape noticed his own vault was untouched and he was relieved. Nearby, a man was crouching down examining something. Snape approached him.
"What is going on?" Snape repeated, his irritation growing.
The man stood up and turned to face him.
"Weasley?" said Snape, incredulously.
The man held out his hand and Snape shook it. "Bill Weasley," he answered. A tired but pleasant grin resided on his face.
"What happened-" Snape started to say, but stopped when he noticed the blood on Bill's shoulder.
Bill looked down at his own shoulder, "Oh, that," explained Bill, "a goblin attacked me."
Snape, realizing he was still holding Bill's hand, let it drop. Snape's mouth was open and his eyes curious as he looked from Bill's shoulder, to Bill's face, and then to the vault behind him.
Smiling, Bill explained. "One of our customers decided it was a good idea to store a cursed object in one of our vaults. It of course, self-destructed", said Bill matter-of-factly.
"What sort of object?" asked Snape.
"A book, we think," answered Bill.
Snape looked down at his own book, then back up at Bill.
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about your book," Bill said in a re-assuring voice.
Snape reached up to gingerly touch the tattered shirt that Bill was wearing. "Why did the goblins attack you?" asked Snape in almost a tender voice.
Bill could feel his throat go dry.
"By the time I got down here, they were very excited," explained Bill. "They took one look at me and wanted a piece of me, I reckon."
~I can't blame them~ thought Snape to himself.
As Bill returned to what he was doing before Snape arrived, Snape took the opportunity to watch him work. His long dark hair was haphazardly splayed over his shoulders. His strong jaw was set. He had a dark shadow of a 2-day beard that boasted across his chin and jaw line. A single earring hung in his left ear.
As Bill delicately picked up pieces of paper and string that was scattered on the floor before him, Snape admired him; his muscles seemed to ripple along his forearms. His long fingers were intense and precise. His eyes were focused and piercing.
"You don't think my book is cursed, do you?" asked Snape suddenly. He already knew the answer, of course, but was looking for a reason to lengthen this stirring encounter.
Bill stopped what he was doing and looked up at Snape.
"You'll know if it's cursed or not as soon as you walk into your vault," replied Bill. He continued to look at Snape. Snape was something else. Those dark eyes, the mouth set in a half-frown, the way the robe hung on his well-formed chest...Bill could feel his heart begin to race.
"If you'd like," prompted Bill, "I'll go into your vault with you. If your book starts to hum or vibrate or burst into flames, you'll have your answer." Bill felt hesitation in Snape. "It can be a bit unnerving...and I really don't want the goblins to get all crazy again."
"Very well," said Snape shortly, "that would be fine."
Snape allowed the old goblin, which had been standing by the cart, to open the vault door for him. Taking a deep breath, Snape pulled the book away from his chest and walked inside the vault. Bill followed him in. The goblin closed the door behind them.

Bill was in awe as he looked around Snape's vault. It wasn't that it was big, but it was certainly impressive. Mostly books lined the walls of Snape's vault. A few robes hung on hooks. In the corner was a small lantern that sat on an antique table. The table was next to a cot.
"Don't tell me that you come here and read?" asked Bill, incredulously.
"All right, then, I won't." replied Snape without emotion. Snape walked slowly around his small vault looking down at his book as if it were a compass.
"I think your book is curse-free, Snape," said Bill, as if to answer an unspoken question.
Snape looked at him. Bill had an amused look on his face.
"Thank you," replied Snape sarcastically.
Snape finished his 'tour' around the room and returned to stand beside Bill. He looked at Bill, studying his face.
Snape glanced at the vault door; the goblin was gone and the door had been pushed shut. They were alone. Snape looked back at Bill. His long hair hung down, framing his face. Some of it threatened to fall across his eyes. Snape reached up and pushed it back.
Snape then gently touched the tooth earring that hung from Bill's ear. "What made you get that?" asked Snape.
"You like it?" asked Bill. When Snape didn't respond, Bill continued, "I got it, originally, to bait mum. I knew it would irritate her. I was, of course, thrilled to discover it impressed my brothers."
"I imagine you were," replied Snape dryly. Snape knew from experience that it didn't take much to impress any the Weasley boys.
"Of course, I don't have a *tattoo*," said Bill, glancing down at Snape's forearm and smiling.
Snape's face darkened. He turned around abruptly and stalked away from Bill. Snape slammed the book into the empty spot in the bookcase. Snape stood at the bookcase in stone silence with his back to Bill.
"Snape...Severus, I'm sorry," stuttered Bill, walking up to stand behind him, "I didn't mean that the way it came out."
"It's not just a tattoo, Bill," Snape hissed over his shoulder, "and I am NOT proud of it."
Bill reached up to touch Snape's hair. His fingers pushed through dark strands to touch the back of Snape's neck.
"I know that," Bill whispered.
Snape walked away from Bill and began to scan the shelves, as if he were taking a mental inventory of his books. Snape would do anything to keep his mind off of Bill. Snape struggled hopelessly to stay focused.
"How do you like working for Gringotts, Bill?" asked Snape over his shoulder as he pretended to read a piece of parchment.
"I love it," replied Bill. "It's not the same as being at Hogwarts, though. I miss the crazy escapades and pranks we kids used to pull."
"Yes, the pranks. You've always irritated me, Weasley," growled Snape, trying to maintain control.
"I miss you, too," stated Bill simply.
Bill watched Snape for a few moments before continuing on.
"You scared the shit out of all of us," said Bill quietly, as if sharing a secret, "but you were the best teacher I ever had. You were my favorite."
"Thank you," replied Snape, unsure if this was a compliment or sarcasm.
Slowly, Bill walked over to where Snape was and stood behind him. Snape continued to read his parchment.
As Bill stood behind Snape, he brought his hands around Snape's waist and hugged him from behind. Slowly, Bill's hands traveled up, passing over hard stomach muscles and up to his chest.
"Don't" Snape whispered.
Ignoring him, Bill continued to rub his hands over Snape's chest. He unfastened two snaps on the long black robe that Snape wore and slipped a hand inside pressing it against Snape's rapidly beating heart.
"Bill, no. We can't here...Bill..." Snape pleaded.
As Bill licked Snape's ear and kissed him on the neck, Bill's hand caressed the lightly furred chest. Snape tried his best to stifle a moan. Much to Bill's delight, he failed miserably.
Bill's hand passed over a nipple and caressed it; Bill gently pinched it and Snape gasped.
"Bill, no...what are you doing?" stammered Snape. Snape turned around to repeat his protest, but Bill covered his mouth in kisses.
"Please, no, I don't think..." More kisses interrupted Snape. "I think we should stop. Bill, no, I can't..." more kisses, licks, and gropes brought Snape's dialog to a screeching halt.
Bill began to kiss Snape on his neck. He licked and bit him and kissed him some more. Finally, Snape kissed back.
Bill took a half step towards Snape pushing him against the bookcase. He kissed Snape deeply. As Bill's tongue slipped inside, Snape's met it and touched.
Snape felt his knees tremble. ~How could I lose control so quickly?~ Snape thought to himself. Snape's trembling hands snaked up Bill's sides to his arms, his back, his strong shoulders.
Bill pushed his hips into Snape's and their erections touched. Although through many layers of fabric, the touch was electric. Bill gasped and bit down on Snape's neck, marking him. Snape gladly allowed it.
Snape dug his nails into Bill's back and ground his hips hard back at Bill in return. Bill pulled away and grabbed Snape's hands. He pinned Snape against the bookcase and looked intently into his eyes.
"You haven't answered my question," said Bill, in a teasing whisper.
"What question would that be, Weasley?" growled Snape, his breath catching in his throat.
"Do you like it?"
"It?"
"My earring?"
"Yes."
Bill kissed Snape again, deeply, letting his tongue slip gently inside.
"You may touch it if you want to," prompted Bill.
"It?"
"My earring."
"Of course..." said Snape, letting the reply filter away.
Tentatively, Snape reached up and touched the dangling adornment. He then touched the top of Bill's ear and traced down along the outside of it with a long tapered finger. Bill felt a shiver run down his spine.
"Why was I your favorite teacher?" Snape hissed into Bill's ear.
"Because you always made things...hard for me," answered Bill. A seductive smile was on his strong, lean face.
Snape looked at him, shocked by his crudeness, yet touched by his passion.
"Have things changed much?" asked Snape throatily.
"No," replied Bill.
Snape was still touching Bill's ear when Bill grabbed Snape's hand. Bill brought the hand to his lips, kissing Snape's fingertips, never breaking eye contact. Bill then took Snape's hand and placed it on his own erection.
"See what I mean?" whispered Bill hoarsely.
Snape nodded dumbly.
"Please," said Bill. One simple word. Please. And Snape knew exactly what he wanted.
Snape groped him through his clothing. Rubbing gently and stroking Bill nearly screamed as he bucked into the touch. Bill held on to Snape as he shuddered. His body trembled with an intense orgasm. Snape was amazed that he was able to bring Bill to completion so quickly...and Snape was delighted at the power he possessed over the younger man.
After a few moments, Bill pulled away and looked up at Snape. "Why do you come here to read?" asked Bill, slightly out of breath.
"To be alone."
"Do you want to be alone tonight?"
"No."
Bill took Snape by the hand and walked him over to the cot. Standing face to face, Bill finished unfastening Snape's robes and let them fall to his feet.
Snape trembled with anticipation, as he stood before Bill naked. Bill sat on the cot before Snape. He reached to slowly caress Snape's penis. Placing his hands on Snape's hips, Bill pulled Snape to him. He took Snape into his mouth as if to swallow him whole. Snape's own mouth was open in a silent scream of ecstasy as Bill tasted him and touched him.
Snape's hands flew to Bill's long hair and fingers frantically threaded through the long, dark locks. Snape could not help but thrust into that talented mouth.
"Bill..." Snape sighed. "Bill, I think maybe you should stop. I'm-"
But Bill didn't stop. His actions grew more fevered. He sucked and licked and took all of Snape in leaving Snape crazed and begging.
When Snape came, pleading Bill's name, Bill took all Snape had to give. Still seated before Snape, Bill pulled Snape close to his body, nuzzling him and kissing his thighs.
Snape pulled way from Bill, reached down and tugged on Bill's chin forcing him to look up.
"You are so..." but Snape let the words trail off, unable to finished his sentence. Bill smiled up at him tenderly.
"Has no one ever done that for you before?" asked Bill with compassion.
"No," answered Snape, "not like that."
Bill lay down on the cot and beckoned Snape to lie down next to him. Snape lay down and once again gingerly touched the deep scratches on Bill's shoulder where the goblin had attacked him.
"You really should get that looked at," suggested Snape.
"Kiss it and make it all better," teased Bill.
Snape kissed his shoulder. "You know, I wouldn't do that for just anybody," growled Snape in a playfully menacing tone.
"I know, Severus," said Bill sleepily.
