Dumbledore watched as his Potions Master stirred ingredients into a goblet carefully, making sure that everything was perfect for Lupin. Lupin had become Snape's friend over the last few years and had told Snape that this was the last time he was going to take a potion. Severus just wished that this time it would work. It had been Dumbledore who'd actually done the research for the cures but as of yet none of them had worked. Snape wondered if the headmaster was trying to keep Lupin a werewolf or not.
"Here," Professor Snape said to the trembling man beside him. "Take this. It's the last potion for the werewolf-blood that you have in you. I can't guarantee that it'll work." The man nodded, but said nothing.
Lupin reached gratefully for the goblet with a shaking hand and Snape grasped Lupin's hands so that the liquid inside wouldn't spill. This patient would need every last drop. He just hoped that it worked this time. For the past three years, Snape had worked day and night to find a cure and then tested them every full moon on Lupin to see if it worked. Lupin tilted the cup with Snape's help and then released it suddenly when Dumbledore pushed back the curtains of the room to let in the light of the moon.
"Something's . . . " Lupin started before his breathing became too labored to speak.
His body twisted suddenly, making him collapse on the concrete floor with the sheets of his bed falling over him. The professor almost went to his side to help, but Dumbledore put a hand across Snape's chest to stop him from aiding him. Lupin glanced up at the moon and slowly made his way across the room to the window. His breathing was slowing, relaxing, and becoming easier, but movement was still hard.
"I think . . . " he said as he grasped the sill of the window. "I think . . . that it's worked, Snape. I'm not changing."
Dumbledore's eyes lit up as soon as he heard what Lupin had said. He smiled at the professor beside him and clapped him heavily on the back. "Congratulations, old boy!" he cried before leaving the room, leaving the two men alone.
Snape looked back at Lupin, who was still holding onto the window sill carefully as if he were afraid that he would fall if he let go of it. The professor went to the man's side and offered a hand. Lupin tossed him a grateful smile before taking a strong hold on Snape's arm instead.
He must have looked surprised because Lupin said, "I need something a bit more stable than just your hand, Snape." Just those words made Snape feel tingles start to run over his arm where Lupin was holding him.
The Potions Master said nothing as Lupin grabbed the same arm with the other hand and tried an unsure walk toward the door. Before Snape could open the door, Lupin threw his hands over the professor's neck abruptly. Snape almost threw Lupin off in his utter astonishment.
"I just want to thank you, Severus," Lupin said into Snape's ear. He could have sworn that he could feel tears hitting his robe, but when Lupin pulled away, he showed nothing of having been crying. "You've helped me so much that I don't know how I can repay you."
"You owe me nothing, . . . Remus," Snape had paused before saying Lupin's first name. "You've saved me before. I'm only repaying you. You know how I hate being in debt to someone." Lupin nodded before seizing the doorknob and walking out without Snape. "And I thought that he couldn't walk without *my* steady arm."

About a week later, the school year at Hogwarts started and it was Harry, Ron, and Hermione's final year. They expected lots of exciting things to happen, but all of them were stunned when they saw Lupin waiting for them in the last car.
"Lupin!" Hermione cried as she ran ahead of the others. "What are you doing here? Are you going to be a professor again?" He pushed them into a seat before the train started and it let out a long hoot to announce its departure from the station.
"Actually, yes," he replied before receiving a collection of hugs from the group. "I'm going to teach Defense against the Dark Arts again thanks to Snape, of course. He's the one who gave me a cure."
"Professor Snape?" Harry asked with a raised brow. "Do you mean the one professor who really hates you just because you're a werewolf?" There was a sudden lurch and the train came to a stop, signaling that they'd arrived at Hogwarts.
"Well, I'm not a werewolf any longer so he can't hate me anymore."

During a lesson in the Defense against the Dark Arts, Lupin was showing them about baby dragons. It was, of course, with Hagrid's help too. He taught everyone fire spells and how to repel the tail slashes or the attacks that the dragon's threw with their magic. It was when Lupin had his back turned, so he could explain another spell to the class, that the baby dragon clawed the air close to Lupin. The baby glared at him and its yellow eyes shined.
"That, . . . class, is an example of their magic," Lupin murmured before his knees buckled beneath him. Hagrid instantly pulled the dragon away from the professor and held it still. "Hermione, get Professor Snape . . . quickly."
Hermione ran like there was no other purpose in the world. She ran down the halls, ignoring the disapproving looks that she was getting. She burst into Snape's Potions class and yelled, "Professor Lupin needs you!" When he only looked up at her, she gave him an exasperated look and continued, "This is serious! I think he's unconscious!" This got his attention.
"Where is he?" he asked as he got up from his desk.
"In the fields by the lake with Hagrid, the dragon, and the rest of the class," she replied as she and the Potions Master rushed down the hall.
When the two of them got there, the class parted to let them pass and Snape instantly leaned over Lupin's body. "Damned dragons," he muttered. "Damned! Damned dragons!" With a frenzied flourish, Snape pulled out his wand and pointed it at Lupin, making the Dark Arts professor rise into the air. "Go back to your towers," he told the rest of the class and they all scattered. Then Snape took Lupin, not to Madam Pomfrey's office, but to Dumbledore's and he held a concerned look on his face.
"Headmaster," Snape sounded worried. "The cure isn't working any longer! The dragon that he brought to class has just counter acted it with its own magic and I haven't the slightest clue how do deal with the magic of a baby dragon!"
"Yes, the adults are much more predictable," Dumbledore replied as if he hadn't been paying much attention to the conversation. "Relax, Severus. I've been working on another spell to fix this all up before he came back, but . . . " He trailed off, leaving silence to end the conversation.
Then came the sound of snapping and Lupin fell into a chair clumsily, making him come out of his unconscious state. Quietly, Dumbledore explained what the cure involved. More silence came after his explanation and Lupin and Snape glanced at each other quickly before looking away.
At the same time, they both spoke, Snape: "Are you sure that this is the only way?"; Lupin: "I'm going to have to get very drunk." Lupin and Snape looked at each other again, uneasiness spreading through them when Dumbledore only nodded.
Snape was thinking. "There's no way that he would risk our friendship just for a cure, is there? Yet, is just a friendship all I really want? I know that before I would have immediately said that I wouldn't do this, but now . . . I'm not so sure, Remus."
"This is the only way, Severus, and I'm afraid that I don't care if you get drunk or not nor if you bring another into this entire thing as long as it doesn't bring any suspicion from the Ministry," Dumbledore replied.
"Are we doing this against the rules?" Lupin looked surprised at this and the headmaster nodded once more to the werewolf. "Very unique, Albus."
He was thinking, "Severus, I wonder what you're thinking now. Are you having as tough a time as I am because I know that I want this to happen, but what about you? What do you want? What do you *need*, Severus?"
After a long, agonizing moment, Remus continued aloud, "I'll do it, but you're going to get me an entire case of that muggle alcohol because no magic can ever make it as great as muggles do." Dumbledore grinned at the part that he'd added jokingly.
Snape watched Lupin when the man had agreed. He was serious and his face wasn't holding the look of mere amusement nor did it look as if the brain underneath was planning something diabolical. Finally, Severus answered, "I'll do it too."
"Wonderful!" Dumbledore cried as he stood. His hands hit the desk flat, palm down, as he continued to speak. "I've arranged everything. We'll meet here at my office around nine-thirty tomorrow night. I promise, Remus, that you'll have those drinks."
Snape and Lupin could be seen together little between the end of that meeting till the beginning of the next one to come unless you count the occasional glances that they would give each other or the rough smiles or grunts of hellos.

At exactly nine-thirty the next night, Snape and Lupin arrived at Dumbledore's office. He wasn't there, but there was a large case that held the liquor Lupin wanted as well as two bottles of liquids, which was the antidote, on the desk.
The deep voice of the headmaster sounded behind them. "I see that you're here," he said. "Take the drinks and head over to the room behind the Madam Pomfrey's office. I believe that you'll find it suitable to your . . . needs."
"I'm quite sure," Snape muttered as he grabbed the two bottles and turned into the hallway after Lupin had levitated the case between them. "Good night, Albus." There was only the murmur of the headmaster's voice in reply.
As soon as they got to the room behind Madam Pomfrey's office, they knew that Dumbledore was right when he'd said that it'd be suitable to their needs. There were collections of couches, beds, and other comfortable looking pieces of furniture for them to use. Almost as if he were feeling the pressure inside the room, Lupin made the top of the case fly off and grabbed a bottle of white wine to drink. He took out another and tossed it toward Snape.
"I think that you'll want this later on," Remus smiled. "At least, I think you will." Severus frowned at him. What was he trying to imply? Lupin lowered the case of liquor onto a small table that wobbled under the weight and sat down in a long couch to drink.
"You intend to go through with this don't you?" Severus asked. "To the very end no matter what?" Remus looked up and nodded. He sighed. "All you have to do is drink this stuff. There's an extra too." He held up the two bottles. "And then reach our highest point of . . . ecstasy together."
"Why do you find that so revolting?" Remus asked suddenly and Severus looked down, nervous. "Don't tell me that you've never had sex before!" Severus nodded. "I don't believe it, Severus! I'm going to have to fill you in on all that goes on meanwhile . . . "
Snape's face felt cold and looked pale. "You're going to teach me, you mean?" He turned to face the Dark Arts teacher. "The only way to teach me how to . . . You'll have to, Remus, that is . . . "
Lupin was still sitting, but he seemed relax suddenly, and the bottle of wine was almost to his lips before being brought down again. "I'll have to what, Severus?"
The Potions professor gazed across the room at Remus. The werewolf looked positively seductive with his back arched to match the curve of the arm to the couch and his legs apart with one along the back of the couch and the other along the seat. Remus's robes just seemed to make him all the more tantalizingly sexy and appealing to him. The bottle of wine had gone limp in his hand and Remus gazed at the Potions teacher as if he were the only thing in the world. Perhaps he was the only thing in the world to Remus. No, one man can only hope so much.
"You're going to have to . . . " Snape seemed to shrink under Lupin's stare, and he had the urge to turn his tail and run, but he held his ground, barely. "You'll have to . . . " Here he finally found the words he was looking for. "You'll have to show me."
Remus raised his brows as if stunned. "Ah, yes. I will, won't I?" There was a moment of silence as Lupin grabbed a bottle of the antidote and tilted the bottle to his lips. "Professor Severus Snape," Remus sounded so regal when he spoke the words. "I request that you kiss me like you've never kissed *anyone* before."
When the Potions Master hesitated, Lupin touched the back of Snape's neck and pulled him to him, landing his lips on his with full impact. They started off smooth and sweet, but it quickly developed into a rough and inflaming kiss with a taste of tongue on the others lips. Softly, Remus eased Severus toward the couch and pushed him down with his passionate kissing before laying over him. Severus moaned several times into the others mouth and he responded by lifting his kiss momentarily to tempt the professor. It worked perfectly.
Before long, Severus tired of the tempting that Remus was doing and he flipped the situation. Now he was on top while Remus was on the bottom. Remus' hard erection brushed against Severus' and they both were reluctant to move any further for fear that they'd go *too* far together.
Severus looked down at the man who was lying below him and asked with genuine worry in his eyes, "Are you sure that you want this?"
Remus sat up between Severus's legs and forced his head toward his, but not to kiss him. "Gods, yes, Severus!" he said. "Get that through your head! I need you to fuck me!"
They stared at each other for a moment before a silent understanding flashed between them. Severus began to ravage Remus' lips without mercy and held him down with an almost brutal force. Remus moaned Severus' name repeatedly without shame and tried to free himself to run his hands over the skin of the one that was seducing him so well.
Oh, the emotions and sensations that were searing through Remus's body! Pleasure, which was from just the things that Severus was doing, was mixed with a bit of pain, which was from Severus's teeth on the skin of his neck. The Potions Master freed one of Remus's hands to begin ripping off the robes that were separating them from each other and soon both of the professors' robes were being discarded on the ground. They, of course, would remain there for a long time. After the robes, there came their shoes and socks and then their underwear.
Before Severus could put him back under his control, Remus was already searching for bare skin and he found and began to fondle Severus' erection with his hands. He was rewarded with a loud moan from the owner.
"Oh, gods! Remus . . . R-remus," Severus gasped as he clutched painfully to the couch's cushions as if he were holding on for dear life.
Wanting to make his new sexual partner beg for him, Remus took the cock into his mouth and started to suckle in all the right places. He started at the tip with a sharp lick and a soft nip. Then he went on to lick the head of his eight-inch-long member before pulling the whole thing into his mouth using his lips. Severus bucked constantly against Remus so that he had to hold him down against the couch with all his strength just to keep the situation suitable.
"Remus!" Severus yelled. The werewolf between his legs felt the muscles of Severus' erection move and quickly pulled away to let the cum spill all over his torso.
Remus was about to take Severus back into his mouth again, but the professor gently pulled away and began to lick all of his cum off of Remus' stomach. Surprisingly, it tasted sweet. Severus' lover's hands crept up his back to rest their fingers in his hair as he licked slowly across the smooth skin. His rough tongue wanted to wrap around Remus so that he would cry out its owner's name so loud that even if there was a silencing spell, they would hear it. Unconsciously, Severus moved lower and the hold that Remus had on his hair grew tighter as soon as he felt lips brush against the collection of hair at the base of the erection.
"S - Sever . . . us," Remus panted as the professor repeated the process that Remus had done for him. "Oh, my gods . . . take me, Sever-" He never finished for then he cummed and Severus covered his mouth with the sticky wetness that was his cum.
"No, Remus," Severus replied and his lover gave him an odd look. "I want you to take me. Take me, now, Remus, before I explode in my desire!"
Quickly, but not so much that it hurt Severus, Remus laid his lover on his stomach and glanced at Severus' encouraging face before resting his hands on the professor's hips. In a swift and fluid movement, Remus was suddenly inside Severus, unmoving, but feeling everything at the same time.
Severus let his head rock this side and that when he held up his body for easier access as Remus went into him and then pulled out, hitting all the right places and making explode with different sensations and feelings. He was on the brim of letting every forbidden thought that had come to his mind come true, but all of them looked dull in comparison to the inflaming emotions and fervent desires that he felt now.
A burning feeling suddenly filled his anus and lowered his head when he remembered that this was all because they wanted the cure for Remus's werewolfness. He heard a soft groan and then Remus fell from him, back onto the other end of the couch, unconscious.
"Remus?" Severus whispered to the man that was unmoving.
He shook Remus' shoulder, but got no response. Slowly, he dragged himself away from him and dressed again. Being gentle with the one who he supposed was no longer a werewolf, he dressed Remus back into his robes. For what seemed like hours, Severus sat on the couch with Remus' head in his lap. He was stroking the hair out of his face when Remus' hand reached out and grabbed his hand.
"Severus?" he asked. "Did we?"
He didn't know how to answer for a second. Did he not remember it at all? He shook his head and answered, "Yes."
"Good," he said. "I'm glad."
"Remus?"
"Hm?"
"Why did you agree to do this?"
"Because I wanted to."
"Even if you knew that this wouldn't get you a cure, would you have done it?"
"Of course."
"Do you think that Dumbledore would lie to us in order to get us to have sex?"
"Definitely. Severus?"
"Yes?"
"Would you still do this if it wouldn't get me a cure?"
"Why wouldn't I?"
"Because without a cure, I'm still the werewolf I was in school. Werewolves are dangerous, Severus. They bite even those closest to them."
"Well then I hope you bite me often."

A few weeks later, Lupin waited for the full moon to rise into the sky. Snape was sitting on the bed next to him, arms crossed as if he were becoming impatient. Dumbledore stood nearby, but not so close as so they could see the grin that was about to spread across his face. Moonlight streamed throught the window and hit Lupin, but nothing happened and no one did anything. Lupin and Snape cast indirect glances at each other, thinking that no one would notice them, but Dumbledore smiled again and slipped out of the room.
As he was walking through the halls, Dumbledore murmured, "Too bad that all Remus had to do was drink the potion in order to stop being a werewolf." Then as an afterthought, "Damn! I'm such a great matchmaker!"
